Our six-day river crossing safari takes you into the northern Serengeti and offers the best chance of seeing death-defying leaps and heart-wrenching near misses as you spend multiple nights and days in the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha after breakfast for Lake Manyara, passing through Mto Wa Mbu—a vibrant town known for local markets and cultural diversity. After a brief stop, enter Lake Manyara National Park, famous for tree-climbing lions and scenic beauty. Enjoy game viewing and incredible birdlife, including flamingos and lilac-breasted rollers. A paradise for photographers and bird lovers.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti
After early breakfast, drive through the lush Ngorongoro rainforest en route to Serengeti, spotting wildlife along the way. Optional stops include the Olduvai Gorge Museum—home to ancient human fossils—and a visit to a Maasai boma for cultural insights. After lunch at the Serengeti picnic site, begin your game drive across the iconic savannah. Expect incredible wildlife sightings. Dinner and overnight at Tukaone Tented Lodge or similar.

After breakfast, drive across the Togoro plains and Mbuzi Mawe kopjes toward northern Serengeti. Enjoy a changing landscape of wooded hills, rocky outcrops, and vast savannahs. Spot wildlife from tiny dik-diks to towering elephants and giraffes. In the Kogatende region, set out in search of the Great Wildebeest Migration and the renowned Big Five. A day of breathtaking scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters awaits.

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in Kogatende, exploring kopjes for predators and following the Wildebeest Migration near the Mara River. After breakfast, drive back toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area via a different Serengeti route, giving you more chances to spot wildlife missed earlier. See vast herds of wildebeests, zebras, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Keep an eye out for predators—cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and lions. An unforgettable day of wildlife encounters. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. This lush caldera is home to the Big Five and over 120 species of mammals, including endangered black rhinos and hippos. Enjoy incredible wildlife viewing from your open-top vehicle and a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. After your game drive, return to Arusha for an overnight stay at your hotel (B&B).
