Safari summary
This 7-day adventure begins with a warm welcome in Nairobi, where the Jossec Safaris team will brief you before setting off. Your first destination is the dramatic Samburu National Reserve, known for its rugged terrain and rare northern species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and the long-necked gerenuk. You’ll stay at Samburu Sopa Lodge, nestled in the heart of the park with stunning views and rich cultural ambiance. After two nights in Samburu, you’ll head south to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to flamingos, rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, and baboons. Here, you'll spend the night at Lanet Matfam Resort, located near the park gate for easy access to game drives.
From Nakuru, your journey continues to Lake Naivasha. A boat ride across the lake lets you watch hippos and birds up close, followed by a peaceful guided walking safari on Crescent Island. You’ll stay at Taphe Guest House, a comfortable spot with friendly service and a relaxed garden atmosphere. The final leg of your safari takes you to the famous Masai Mara, where big cats, elephants, buffalo, and, in season, the Great Wildebeest Migration await. You’ll enjoy two nights at Rhino Tourist Camp, just outside the reserve, offering easy access to thrilling game drives across the vast savannah. On your last day, after breakfast, you’ll return to Nairobi, where the Jossec team will see you off at your hotel or airport.
The package includes park fees, accommodation, meals, and transport in a 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep with an experienced driver-guide. Optional activities like a hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara can be arranged at an extra cost of $450 per person. Prices vary depending on the season (low, high, or peak) and are per person based on two people sharing a room with double occupancy.
