Arrival & transfer to Kibale

Today you will be received by your driver guide at the airport, take you through a briefing about your safari expectations and immediately set off for your 5 hours’ drive to Kibale National Park having your lunch en-route in Fort Portal. After lunch you will proceed to Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru geographically believed to have formed as a result of stalagmites and stalactites. This is a cultural site to the Batoro tribe who have a strong cultural history and belief attached to it.

Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi

Have your morning breakfast served and report to the Park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking rules and regulations. Proceed to the starting point of the trek led by Park rangers to embark on the search of a habituated troop of chimpanzees. Trekking chimpanzees lasts for about 3o minutes to 4 hours depending on their movements. Upon locating them, enjoy an hour in their presence and later on return to your lodge to have lunch.

Enjoy your morning breakfast and checkout to be driven further southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector where you will spot tree climbing lions lazing up between tree branches. You will spend some time clearly watching their nature and behaviors after which you will proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in the afternoon for your lunch.

Wake up to a hefty breakfast and be driven to the Park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. You be divided into groups of eight maximum and gorilla families will be allocated that you will go trekking after. Hit the Park’s misty forests with the guidance of ranger guides as you embark on the search of these gentle giants. This lasts for about 1 to 6 hours and having located them an hour will be allowed for you to closely watch them go by their routine duties.

Enjoy breakfast and set off, be driven through winding roads and rolling terraced hills that will catch your attention. Arrival will be in the afternoon to have your lunch at the lodge after which you will head off for an evening game drive as you look out for animals like giraffes, elephants, waterbucks, Burchell’s zebra, bushbucks, sitatungas, warthogs, topis, reedbucks, elands, impalas to mention but a few. Wakeup very early to have your breakfast and head off for a morning game drive as you roam through the Park’s trails in search of its hidden treasures. The Park’s birdlife is worth capturing after which you will return back to your lodge to have lunch and later checkout to be driven back to Kampala.
