The summit day begins at midnight, and you’ll ascend the steep trail to Stella Point (5,756 m / 18,876 ft). From there, it’s another 1 hour to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft), the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. After spending a few moments at the summit, you’ll begin your descent, returning to Mweka Camp (3,100 m / 10,170 ft) for the night.
