Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Back To Eden Adventures representative will greet you and provide transportation to your hotel. Your hotel stay includes all the necessary amenities for a comfortable experience. In the evening, a briefing with our team will ensure you're well-prepared for the climb. Please Note: Check-in begins at 2:00 PM. Shared airport transfers are included for private tour packages.

Trekking Machame Gate-Machame Camp

In the morning, your guide and mountain crew will meet you at the hotel for a quick briefing before driving you to the Machame Gate, the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. After obtaining the necessary permits and registration, you'll begin your trek through the lush rainforest to Machame Camp. Be prepared for possible tropical showers by packing a raincoat and spare clothes. This will be your first day at altitude. To prevent altitude sickness, drink over 4 liters of water daily,

Trekking Machame Camp-Shira Camp

After breakfast, you'll trek to Shira Camp, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the open moorlands. The stunning views of the Shira Plateau will be your reward. After reaching Shira Camp, you'll enjoy lunch and rest before taking an acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower. This hike, with a 400-meter altitude gain. Note: The acclimatization hike is a gentle trek designed to help your body adjust to the altitude, increasing your chances of summiting Kilimanjaro.

Trek to Baranco Camp Via Lava Tower

Today, you'll trek to Lava Tower, the highest point on the route so far at 4,600 meters. The ascent involves some challenging sections, but spending time at this altitude is essential for acclimatization. After lunch at Lava Tower, you'll descend to Barranco Camp, where you'll be greeted by the imposing Barranco Wall, which you'll tackle tomorrow.

Your day begins with an early ascent of Barranco Wall. Although it looks intimidating, the climb is straightforward and takes about an hour. Afterward, you'll continue trekking through the Karanga Valley, with its series of ascents and descents, before reaching Barafu Camp. After a warm lunch at Karanga Camp, you'll push on to Barafu Camp, where you'll have dinner and rest before the final summit push.

Summit & Descend to Millennium Camp

The summit push begins at night from Barafu Camp. While the climb is not technically difficult, the altitude makes it challenging. Each climber will be closely monitored by their guide to ensure their safety. After reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, you'll descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Millennium Camp. Note: Most accidents happen during the descent, so be cautious. Pay attention to your footing to avoid injuries.

Descend to Mweka Gate

After a good night's sleep at Millennium Camp, you'll enjoy breakfast and begin your final descent through the tropical rainforest to Mweka Gate. Upon arrival, you'll celebrate your achievement with your team, sign the guestbook, and receive your summit certificate before being transferred back to your hotel.

After a restful night at the hotel, you'll be transferred to the airport for your departure. If you have a late flight, you can arrange a late check-out for an additional fee. Please note: Hotel check-out is at 11:00 AM. An extended stay can be arranged if needed.
