Rongai Gate to Simba Camp

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Moshi or Arusha to the Rongai Gate, where the trek through the Montane Forest starts. As you leave the village of Nale Moru, enter the lush Kilimanjaro rainforest. The hike is gentle, allowing you to settle into the rhythm of the climb while keeping an eye out for wild animals such as elephants and buffaloes. Simba Camp to Kikelelwa

Continue on the Kibo crater rim to reach the true summit, Uhuru Peak, where you can savor the accomplishment and take photos.
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

On the final day, begin your descent from Horombo Hut back through the moorland to Mandara Huts for a refreshing lunch. Continue through the lush rainforest, following the trail down to Marangu Gate, where you’ll sign out and celebrate your success.
