Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Distance : 4.8km Trekking Time : 5 - 6 hours Meals : Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included. Accommodation : Spacious 2-person tents at Shira Cave Camp On the first day of the itinerary, you will begin with the drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (5,381ft) which takes approximately 45 minutes. The Machame Gate is starting point of the climb which is located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. This entrance point lies high above the Machame Village.
Machame Camp to Shira Cave Camp

Elevation: 2,835m (9,301ft) to 3,840m (12,598ft) Distance: 5 km Trekking Time: 4-6 hours Habitat: Moorland Zone Description: The trek ascends through the last stretch of the rainforest before entering the moorland zone, characterized by open landscapes and unique vegetation. Shira Cave Camp to Barranco Camp
