Safari summary

The Marangu route, often known as the "Coca-Cola route" due to its popularity and relative ease, provides a well-trodden path that maximizes comfort without compromising the thrill of the adventure. With comfortable huts for accommodation along the way, you can rest and rejuvenate each night, ensuring you are well-prepared for the next day's ascent. This 6 days Marangu route offers a gradual incline, allowing you to acclimatize effectively to the increasing altitude, minimizing the risk of altitude sickness and maximizing the chances of a successful summit attempt.
As you ascend higher, you will be rewarded with awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding landscape, including sweeping valleys, towering cliffs, and distant horizons. Each step brings you closer to Uhuru Peak, the ultimate prize awaiting at the summit of Kilimanjaro. With experienced guides leading the way, you will navigate through challenging terrain, including rocky paths and steep inclines, as you push your limits and test your resolve against the elements.
The 6-day Marangu Route is an excellent choice for reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, located in northern Tanzania. This route offers a great opportunity to reach the "Roof of Africa" at high altitudes, without requiring any advanced climbing skills. The climb takes you through various vegetation zones, starting from semi-arid scrub and progressing to dense forest as you ascend. It’s suitable for physically fit individuals who are prepared to exert effort in reaching the summit.

The total hiking distance is around 60 kilometers from Marangu Gate (1,860 meters) and is completed at a steady pace. You'll ascend during the day and rest overnight, gradually reaching Gillman’s Point at 5,680 meters. The final stretch will take you to Uhuru Peak, the true summit, at 5,895 meters.
This route is ideal for those who want to experience the journey to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro without needing technical climbing expertise, but it does require physical fitness and stamina.
