Arrival - Tanzania - JRO
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be collected by an Elia Wildlife experience representative and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha for relaxation and overnight stay. Arusha Safari city is the gateway to some of Africa’s mighty natural wonders and sits at the foot of Mount Meru, one of the highest mountains in Africa. The town is a welcoming cultural and natural gem, ideal for a stopover before or after your safari.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha meet our professional Naturalistic Safari driver guide who will provide a short brief about your safari. The drive to Tarangire lasts approximately 2 hours. Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. After a late afternoon game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation at Karatu where you will enjoy dinner and spend the overnight.

Rise and shine! you will embark upon another incredible game drive on the way to the Ngorongoro Crater see a breathtaking range of animals and birds. Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, is almost 20km wide, approximately 600m deep and is known for its large variety of wildlife. In addition to the Big Five, animals such as wildebeest, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. After enjoying a game viewing in the Crater, you will proceed to the Serengeti National Park.

On day five you will spend a full day exploring the park, its sceneries and its inhabitants. You will able to see the thousands of wildebeests accompanied by zebras, and gazelles spread along vast areas, as well as have the rare chance to witness some real wildlife actions. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife. After an unforgettable day, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Early in the morning with a skilled walking guide and an armed ranger you will start the walk. The walk starts normally before 6.30 am which sounds early but it's the best time of day before it gets too hot, and whilst the animals are active. You'll enjoy a packed breakfast hanging up on a rock or nearby a stream whilst out on the walk. Afternoons are about relaxing in shady spots around camp, before heading out for a shorter walk to enjoy the African sundown before dinner.
