It is known for being one of the easier routes, thanks to its gradual incline and the availability of hut accommodations. The route is often called the "Coca-Cola Route" because of its relatively shorter trekking days compared to other routes. From there, it's a further 1-hour climb to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). After celebrating your achievement, you will descend back to Horombo Hut for overnight.
Horombo Hut

Kilimanjaro
After breakfast at Horombo Hut, you'll begin your descent back to Marangu Gate. The descent is easier on the legs but can still be challenging due to the long distance. Once you reach the gate, you'll be greeted by the park rangers, receive your summit certificates, and be transferred back to Moshi or your hotel for a well-earned rest.
