Departure: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game viewing drive. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Dinner and Overnight Stay

Masai Mara

The reserve hosts the highest concentration of wild animals per sq. km than any other park in the region. The scenic appeal of this tree studded savanna, its’ modest temperatures and diversity of wild game species makes the reserve a one stop shop for game viewing. We shall transverse the reserve on unlimited game viewing drives in search of the big five and more species of the lesser games. Our mid-day meals will be picnic and dinner at our Camp.

Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Hot buffet lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon at Lake Nakuru national park. Game viewing dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

After breakfast morning game viewing drive later depart by road and return to Nairobi and proceed overland through Kamba land dotted with circular houses and few shopping centers as well as Masai land to Amboseli National Park situated at the foot of the highest mountain in Africa. The elephant population in Amboseli is one of the few that has been able to live undisturbed and the elephant families have been studied by world renowned researcher Cynthia Moss. This morning we rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for a game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. A visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast at an extra cost. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another game drive. Amboseli is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen. Dinner and Overnight
