Tarangire

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel starting safari from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular between June and September, the dry period. During this time thousands of animals- wildebeest, buffalo, and Oryx migrate from the dry Maasai steeple to the Tarangire River looking for water. Lions, leopards and other predators follow the herds. Tarangire is home to over 500 varieties of birds.

Today you will leave after breakfast and with lunch packet you will drive as you follow the migrations paths depending on the location. We will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 million Wildebeests and 500,000 Zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of lions, cheetahs and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in the Serengeti River have no mercy as the herds cross the river.

Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then descend into the crater floor for game drives. All the big five (rhino, lion, buffalo, and elephant) live in this wonderful caldera. Others that live here are zebra, hippo, wildebeest, hyena, and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. Your lunch will be served in the picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok swamp, a Hippo pool. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
