Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), an Mropean Safaris representative will greet you and provide transportation to your hotel. Your hotel stay includes all the necessary amenities for a comfortable experience. In the evening, a briefing with our team will ensure you're well-prepared for the climb. Please Note: Check-in begins at 2:00 PM. Shared airport transfers are included for private tour packages.

Trekking Nalemuru Gate-simba camp

After a morning briefing with your guide and mountain support crew, you'll travel to the Nalemuru Gate (2,020 m /6,627 ft) to start your trek. The day’s hike takes you through Kilimanjaro’s northern coniferous forest to Simba Camp (2,671 m /8,761 ft). This moderate trek is manageable with a steady pace. Once at camp, our team will have your tents set up and dinner prepared.

Following an early breakfast, you’ll trek to Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m /11,906 ft). The trek is more challenging, but you’ll be rewarded with views of Kibo Volcano if the weather permits. Upon arrival, rest and acclimatize.

Today, trek to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,315 m /14,156 ft) located at the base of Mawenzi Volcano. After lunch and a brief rest, embark on an acclimatization hike gaining 200 m (656 ft) in altitude before returning to camp for dinner.

Summit & Descent to Horombo Camp

Begin your night ascent from Kibo Hut Camp (4,720 m /15,482 ft) to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m /19,336 ft). The summit trek, while technically straightforward, is physically demanding due to the high altitude. Climbers are paired with guides who will provide support and monitor well-being. After reaching the summit, descend to Kibo Camp for a brief rest before continuing down to Horombo Camp (3,720 m /12,202 ft).
