Safari summary
The Ndutu Migration is one of nature's most extraordinary spectacles, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the Ndutu plains in search of fresh pastures. This event is part of the larger Great Migration, which spans across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems. What makes the Ndutu Migration unique is its focus on the calving season, which takes place from December to March. During this time, over 8,000 calves are born each day, making it a crucial period for the survival of the herds.
The open plains of Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offer an ideal setting for witnessing the incredible dynamics between prey and predators, such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The abundance of vulnerable newborns draws many predators, creating intense and dramatic wildlife interactions.
For wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, the Ndutu Migration provides an unparalleled opportunity to observe and capture the raw beauty of Africa's natural world at its most vital and captivating moment. From the stunning landscapes to the life-and-death struggles of the animals, the Ndutu Migration is a must-see for anyone passionate about nature and conservation.
