Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to the hotel for overnight accommodation. Your head guide will conduct a briefing, gear check, and assist with equipment rental needs.

Machame Gate to Machame Camp

In the morning, you will be transferred from Moshi, a 45-minute drive leading to the Machame gate in the village of Machame. After obtaining permits, the journey will begin through the lush rainforest, where your guide will share insights on local flora and fauna. Trekking poles and gaiters are recommended for muddy and slippery trails. (Elevation: 9,911 ft ∼ 3,021 m, and Trekking time: 5 to 6 hours).

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

In the morning, as you begin climbing Kilimanjaro, you'll leave the lush rainforest behind and ascend along a rugged rocky ridge. The trail then takes you across valleys, leading you to the Shira Campsite. As you continue your ascent, you'll notice temperatures beginning to drop. In the morning, you will depart from Shira Camp and head toward Barranco Camp, passing via the iconic Lava Tower.
