Safari summary

Embarking on the Lemosho Route presents an opportunity for a breathtaking journey through remote and arguably more picturesque terrain, albeit slightly longer and requiring a bit more investment. This route commences on the western flank of the mountain at Londorossi Gate, a further drive from town, offering a refreshing alternative to the Shira route. Traversing through stunning forests and moorlands, the trail ascends to the Shira Plateau by day three, where it merges with the Machame Route at Lava Tower before descending towards Barranco Valley via the Southern Circuit. Wildlife sightings, including buffalo and elephants, might grace fortunate climbers. Notably, the extended duration of this route allows for better acclimatization, significantly enhancing summit success rates.
