Safari summary

The pangolin, a unique and elusive mammal covered in scales, holds the unfortunate title of being the world's most trafficked mammal. Despite their ecological importance, little is known about their behavior and habitats. However, through dedicated conservation efforts—such as active field research, collaboration with partners, and community involvement—new guidelines are being developed to inform conservation strategies and policies. These efforts aim to raise awareness and prevent further exploitation of these vulnerable creatures.

The Pangolin Conservation Fund plays a crucial role in bridging the gaps in current conservation efforts. By focusing on comprehensive research, data collection, collaboration, and community engagement, the foundation seeks to safeguard pangolins and educate people worldwide about their ecological significance and endangered status. Current projects are centered on the Temminck’s Pangolin, developing innovative methods to protect these remarkable animals and ensure their survival for future generations.
