Arrival in Arusha
You will be picked up from the airport by our representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. Gran Melia Arusha is an oasis of calm and aesthetic pleasure.

In the morning, our personal safari guide will pick you up from your Arusha lodgings, and we'll head to Tarangire National Park, passing Maasais in vibrant attire and acacia-dotted landscapes. Known for its large elephant herds, Tarangire is home to many other animals like zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and possibly even lions or leopards. From the open roof of our safari jeep, you’ll explore seasonal swamps, savannahs, and the Tarangire River.

Day 3 - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we head toward the fertile highlands, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with stunning views of the Ngorongoro Crater. We will arrive at the Serengeti National Park by midday. The Serengeti, Tanzania’s largest park, is famous for its diverse landscapes and the great migration of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope. Depending on the season, we may witness thousands of animals in search of food and water.

This day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti, home to a rich variety of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, as well as the famous migrating herds of zebra, antelope, and wildebeest. The migration follows the rains, with animals moving south in November and December and returning north from April to June. Alongside the migrating herds, we may also encounter resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions in action.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a Serengeti game drive, possibly spotting the “Big Five.” Then, visit a Maasai village for a glimpse into their traditions before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Experience a sunset walking safari around the crater rim with an armed ranger. Afterward, drive to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Early risers enjoy stunning sunrise views over the crater before descending into this UNESCO World Heritage site. Formed 3 million years ago, the 610-meter-deep crater covers 260 square kilometers and boasts dense wildlife, including wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. With a bit of luck, we might spot an endangered black rhino. After a game drive and picnic lunch, we’ll return to Karatu and stay at one of our quality mid-range lodges.

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This park, known for its soda lake and diverse wildlife, is home to flamingos, monkeys, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, elephants, and occasionally lions. We’ll explore its varied landscapes before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon with unforgettable memories of the African wilds.
