Day 1: Nelspruit/Berg-en-Dal Camp

Kruger

You will be taken from the airport to the Kruger National Park upon arrival. As soon as you enter this stunning Big 5 Reserve, your birding safari officially starts. Zebra, giraffe, and impala may be spotted on the scenic drive to the rest camp. With resident species such the Retz's Helmet-Shrike, African Barred Owlet, Eastern Nicator, and Trumpeter Hornbill, birding in the camp is excellent. You will love spending the night at the camp and dining beneath the African sky for the first time.

Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp

Day 2: Berg-en-Dal/ Skukuza

Start your day with a hot coffee before embarking on an early birding safari. At dawn, spot the Tawny Eagle, Scarlet-chested Sunbird, Bennett's Woodpecker, Southern Ground Hornbill, and Grey-headed Parrot. On your way to Skukuza Rest Camp, look along the rivers for the Saddle-billed Stork, Goliath Heron, Little Egret, and Giant Kingfisher. After checking in, relax or explore the camp shop. An afternoon drive might reward you with sightings of the Orange-breasted Bushshrike, and Crested Barbet.

Day 3: Skukuza

You will depart the camp at daybreak, having savored your morning coffee while taking in the dawn chorus. Look out for the variety of bird species that call the picturesque Sabi River home as you drive along it. Look for White-fronted Bee-eaters, Egrets, and Storks along the riverbanks and you could find four different species of vultures: White-backed, Hooded, Lappet-faced, and White-headed. During dinner in the evening, keep an ear out for the call of Owls and nightjars.

Day 4: Skukuza/Nelspruit

After savoring your final breakfast in the serene surroundings of the Reserve, it's time to bid farewell to this incredible wilderness. You will then be comfortably transferred to the airport, where you’ll embark on your journey home, carrying with you the unforgettable memories of your adventure.
