The trek will lead you to Shira 1 Camp, from where you can glimpse the distant Kibo Peak. Day three ;involves a steady climb to Shira 2 Camp, traversing the moorland of the Shira Plateau and passing beneath the Western Breach’s glaciers. Proper hydration and warmth are essential as you get ready for the final push to the summit.
Day seven; is dedicated to reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. You’ll begin your ascent in the early hours of the morning, climbing through the cold and wind to reach the peak by late morning. After celebrating your achievement and taking in the magnificent views, you’ll descend to Crater Camp, located in the crater’s bowl, a special spot reserved for the most adventurous climbers.
On Day eight; you’ll descend from Crater Camp to Millennium Camp, passing Stella Point and Barafu Camp along the way. This day provides a much-needed rest after the summit push, allowing you to recover and enjoy the serene environment of Millennium Camp.
Finally, Day nine; involves descending through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll complete the park formalities and receive your well-earned summit certificate.
