Day one: Arusha to Arusha National Park

After a satisfying breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, your safari adventure begins. At 12:00 PM, you’ll be picked up by your driver and guide, and you’ll set off for Arusha National Park, just a short drive away. Upon entering the park, you’ll embark on a game drive that showcases the park’s unique features and landscapes.

Your drive will take you past the picturesque Momella Lakes, which are known for their vibrant colors and diverse birdlife. You’ll also visit Ngurdoto Crater, often referred to as 'Little Ngorongoro' due to its resemblance to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As you explore, you’ll pass under the impressive Fig tree (Ficus thonningii), whose roots have formed a natural arch large enough for a safari vehicle to pass beneath. This is a fantastic photo opportunity and a unique feature of the park.

A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot within the park, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal surrounded by nature. After lunch, you’ll continue your game drive, exploring the varied habitats of the park, including its lush forests and open plains. At around 4:00 PM, you’ll start heading back to Arusha, where you’ll return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day two: Arusha to Tarangire National Park back arusha

Your second day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a departure from Arusha by safari jeep to Tarangire National Park, located 130 km away. Known for its vast landscapes and impressive baobab trees, Tarangire is a prime destination for wildlife viewing.

Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a game drive through the park, where you’ll encounter its renowned elephant herds, along with other wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, lions, and the elusive leopard. The park’s diverse ecosystems provide ample opportunities for spotting a wide variety of animals.

At lunchtime, you’ll stop at a well-chosen picnic site within the park to enjoy a delicious meal amidst the natural surroundings. Following lunch, you’ll resume your game drive, taking in the park’s stunning scenery and continuing to observe its abundant wildlife.

By around 4:00 PM, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. You’re expected to arrive in Arusha around 6:00 PM, concluding your safari experience with Kizza Adventures.
