Trekking Lemosho Route Private

Get ready for an adventure! We'll meet you at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi for a mountain briefing before heading to the Lemosho Gate to register and obtain entrance permits. Embark on our hike, crossing through a lush rainforest for approximately 7km over 2 to 3 hours until we reach Mti Mkubwa Camp. Along the way, take in the diverse flora, including the unique, Forest lobelia, impatiens Kilimanjaro, and keep an eye out for black and white Colobus monkeys and other forest wildlife.

On this day, you’ll embark on a 9km hike through the Alpine Desert with Kiliclimb Africa Safaris, lasting 6-8 hours. Start with steep hills and sparse rocks, then climb steadily to the Lava Tower at 4600m for lunch and acclimatization. Afterward, descend for about two hours to Barranco Camp for an overnight rest amid its stunning landscape.

After a briefing and dinner, you'll rest until 11pm, then have tea and snacks while preparing for the summit. Begin your ascent at midnight, climbing steep rocks and navigating a zigzag path to Stella Point 5756 meters by 6am. From there, continue to Uhuru Peak (5895 meters), where you'll enjoy sunrise and take photos. After summiting, descend to Barafu Campsite for brunch, then continue to Millennium Camp, a 5km ascent and a 12km descent, with hiking times of 6-7 hours up and 1.5-2 hours down.
