Safari summary

This a flying in and out of Mikumi trip from either Dar es salaam or Zanzibar. A morning flight will take you to Mikumi arriving mid-morning, spend the rest of the day in the park and the next day you will have the entire morning in the park then fly out in the afternoon to Dar es salaam or Zanzibar.Mikumi national park is the fourth largest park in Tanzania and its characteristic is compared with of that of Serengeti. The North West vegetation consist of Savanna dotted with acacia, tamarinds, baobabs and rare palm species. Further west there is a spectacular formation of mountain Rubeho and Uluguru Mountains. The fauna is characterized of African savanna full of animals like Elephants, Zebras, impala, eland, kudu, black antelopes, baboons’ wildebeests and buffaloes. A few Kilometers north of the park there is an artificial pools full of hippos, more than 400 different birds species are found in the park.
