Safari summary

The journey began with a morning flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (initially Selous) and by a late afternoon flight on the next day back to Dar es salaam or Zanzibar. It can be operated from other destinations but might need an additional night because of arrival and departure time. Nyerere National Park was also known as Selous Game Reserve is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania with largest Rufiji river which is a home of crocodiles and hippopotamus. The park has a high level of biodiversity with most iconic African species inhibiting in the area in large number including lions, leopards, giraffe, herds of wildebeest, zebra, black rhino, impala, Thomson’s gazelles, spotted hyenas, countless birds, mammals, reptiles, fishes and African wild dogs.
