Moshi to Londros gate to Big tree

You will be picked up at your accommodation area at around 08:00am and transferred to the Lemosho gate located on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After the registration process, we will still start our climb steadily through the forests of the Lemosho glades to reach Big Tree camp where you will be spending the night. • Meals ;Lunch & Dinner • Elevation ;7kms (4 hours) • Accommodation ;Big Tree Camp

Trek across grassy moorland and heather with volcanic rock formations. Pass Shira 1 Camp with views of Kibo Peak. After breakfast, hike east towards Kilimanjaro's looming mass, ascending a steep path above vegetation. Traverse a rocky landscape to reach Lava Tower at 4,630 m/15,190 ft, a prominent volcanic remnant. Enjoy lunch near the tower, then descend for 2 hours below the Western Breach and Breach Wall to Barranco Camp at 3,950 m/12,960 ft. Capture photos of ice-adorned cliffs and enjoy a memorable sunset. Be vigilant for signs of altitude sickness throughout the day

After a restful night and breakfast, trek to Barafu Camp at 4640m across desolate scree slopes. The steep climb is challenging due to altitude. Arrive at camp, eat, and rest to prepare for the summit push. Stay hydrated and warm. This morning, hike east to join the Mweka Route for descent. Continue upwards to Barafu Hut for lunch, passing through sparse landscape. Barafu Camp, despite its name meaning "ice" in Swahili, lacks water; the mountain's snows are higher up. Camp on a narrow, stony ridge, prepare gear for the summit climb, and stay hydrated. Up at 11:30 PM, have tea and biscuits before beginning the 6-hour ascent northwest through heavy scree to Stella Point (5,685 m/18,650 ft). Enjoy a brief rest and sunrise before continuing along the rim to Uhuru Peak. Descend 3 hours to Barafu Camp, rest briefly, then descend through rock and scree to Mweka Camp (3,100 m/10,170 ft) in the upper forest. Expect mist or rain in the afternoon. After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 3-hour hike back to Mweka Gate. Hold off on tipping until all gear and crew safely reach the gate, then tip at the gate itself.
