Day 1: Hitting the Road to Ibanda

Sleep in a bit (unless you're super enthusiastic), because it's a long-ish drive (6-7 hours) from Mwanza to Murongo, the town next to Ibanda. Enjoy the scenery – rolling hills, local villages, and maybe even some baobab trees!

Once in Murongo, hop on a shared taxi or motorbike taxi (boda boda) for the short ride to the park entrance. Check into your pre-booked lodge or tented camp – your home for the next two days.

In the afternoon, it's game drive time! A park ranger will be your guide, showing you the cool stuff. Look out for graceful roan antelopes, powerful buffalos, and zebras hanging out on the savanna. The mighty Kagera River is like a giant watering hole for the park's animals, so keep an eye out for hippos and crocs – binoculars are a must!

As the sun sets, head back to your lodge and relax on your balcony. Listen to the nighttime sounds – it's like a whole other world out there!

Day 2: More Wildlife Fun and Back to Mwanza

Rise and shine with the African sunrise! Another game drive is on the cards, and this is a great time to spot those shy animals like leopards or hyenas that don't like the midday heat. Your guide will take you to the best spots to see them.

After a yummy breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Ibanda. The drive back to Mwanza follows the same route – reminisce about all the awesome things you saw!
