Take a 3 day safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a habitat of more than 600 mountain gorillas which is close to a half of the 1060 total population known to be thriving in the entire world. The magical Kigezi hills offer impressive scenery and sightseeing experience.
The park also hosts several other species of mammals, flora, amphibians, primates and insects with an estimated number of 120 mammals, 310 butterflies, 51 reptiles, 200 trees, 88 moths and 350 bird species. The park contains other primate species, among which include wild chimpanzees, blue monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys.

Kampala to Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable
Have early breakfast and depart for Bwindi National Park at 7:00 am, driving southwards for at least 8 hours before arriving at your accommodation which is situated just outside of the park on the southern side. The most direct route from Kampala follows a surfaced road to Kabale via Mbarara and Ntungamo. A slow dirt road then winds through the highlands to Ruhija gorilla region via Rubanda.

After an early breakfast and briefing by UWA ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your safari highlight. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails offering Easy accessibility for the visitors.

It is time to Lake Bunyonyi after a well deserving breakfast and an optional hike or canoe. Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe. It is a long but quite an interesting drive back to the central region of Uganda, passing through many bustling towns and lively villages.
