Itinerary
Day 1:Transfer to Marangu gate
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Marangu Gate Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet and greet by our representative. Transfer to Marangu Gate (about 1.5 to 2 hours drive). Check-in at the gate, complete registration, and meet your guide and porters. Begin your trek through the lush rainforest. Trek to Mandara Hut (2,700 meters). Dinner and overnight stay at Mandara Hut.
Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut Breakfast at Mandara Hut. Continue the trek through the rainforest, which gradually gives way to heath and moorland. Ascend to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters). En route, enjoy breathtaking views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Dinner and overnight stay at Horombo Hut
3 Day at Horombo Hut
Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut Breakfast at Horombo Hut. Acclimatization day at Horombo Hut to help your body adjust to the altitude. Optional hike to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Hut for better acclimatization and scenic views. Return to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut Breakfast at Horombo Hut. Continue the trek towards Kibo Hut (4,703 meters), the final base camp before the summit. Trek through the alpine desert, crossing the "Saddle" between Mawenzi and Kibo. Reach Kibo Hut, situated at the bottom of the crater wall. Have an early dinner and prepare for the summit attempt. Rest and overnight stay at Kibo Hut.
Day 5: Summit Day
Day 5: Summit Day - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and Descend to Horombo Hut Wake up around midnight for a light snack and preparation. Start the summit attempt in the early hours of the morning. Trek to Gilman's Point (5,681 meters) on the crater rim by sunrise. Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa, for a breathtaking sunrise. Spend some time at the summit for photos and celebration. Descend back to Kibo Hut for a rest and breakfast.
Descend from Horombo Hut to Marang
Day 6: Descend from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Transfer to Arusha After breakfast, begin the final descent through the rainforest. Reach Marangu Gate, where you'll sign out and collect your summit certificates. Meet your driver and transfer back to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon. End of the trekking adventure
