Please take note that only eight people per gorilla family are permitted to track gorillas in a single day. Slots for Gorilla Trekking, in fact, sell out months in advance. In order for us to obtain your gorilla trekking permit as quickly as feasible, try to schedule your Mountain Gorilla encounter with us as soon as possible! A gorilla trekking permit costs USD 800 (eight hundred US dollars) as of October 2025. The Uganda Wildlife Authority issues permits. Itinerary

Day 1 Transfer to Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Stopover for lunch in Mbarara before continuing on to the gorillas' home, passing through Queen's Ishasha region for an opportunity to observe tree-climbing lions. When you arrive, check in at your safari lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable

Wake up to an early cup of coffee/tea, put on your trekking gear, pick up your packed lunch from the lodge, and transfer to the meeting site for gorilla trekking. The park administration assigns rangers to you. After the briefing and assignment of a family, transfer to starting point of walk into the forests to find the Mountain Gorillas. When you eventually find them, you have no more than an hour. Returning from the rainforests, transfer to your lodgings for relaxation, dinner and night's.

Day 3: Travel back to Kampala

After breakfast, check out and embark on the return journey to Kampala. Lunch en-route in Mbarara town at Agip Motel. The drive through Lake Mburo National Park after Mbarara exposes you a some wildlife of the park, such as Zebras and Impalas.  Another stopover is made at the Uganda Equator for some picture moments. Proceed to Kampala and drop-off to your hotel/residence. Meal plan: Half board (Breakfast, Lunch)
