Safari summary

An eleven day trip starts with Arusha National Park with a morning walk and afternoon canoeing a long the Mommella Lakes. The Arusha National Park is one of the most beautiful and topographically varied game reserves in Tanzania, with a rich variety of wildlife, including giraffe, Cape buffalo, zebra, warthog, the black-and-white colobus monkey, the blue monkey, flamingo, elephant, lion and many others. Birdlife is also prolific, with many forest species more easily seen here than in other places. A visit to Tarangire national park on the next day where home to some 300 herds of elephants that scratch the dry river bed to tap into underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the lagoons as they shrink in the dry season. This is where we can find range of oldest Baobab trees. Our third day will be in Lake Manyara National Park , a perfect place for introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been observed, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Famous for tree Climbing
lions and other animals like Baboons, warthogs, Giraffes and antelopes. Fourth day to Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro conservation area with a brief stop at Maasai Boma, entertained by a maasai dance and culture before heading to Serengeti. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers some of the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Here shall stay for four nights visiting northern part of the park where River crosses for wildebeests migrations and shall stay here for 2nights watching the crossing. On the eighth day shall Move to Ngorongoro Conservation area with a visit of Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind for a brief history of the early man. The ninth day shall descend into the crater floor for game drive , The crater is About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, it is home to lions, elephant, wildebeest, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, hyena, jackals, ostrich, baboon, and many other animals. Later in the afternoon will ascend from the crater and to Karatu area for overnight. The tenth day will visit Lake Eyasi, a seasonal shallow endorheic salt lake on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Seasonal water level fluctuations in the lake are dramatic, though the northwestern shore is constrained by the cliffs of the Serengeti Plateau. The Datooga and Hadzabe live around the lake though Hadzabe are the indigenous inhabitants of the area. Shall stay in the area for a night to experience the untouched culture of these two tribes that even today they survive on hunting and making their hunting tools in a stone age craft. The Datooga are craft people that the do little of farming and rare few animals and birds while the Hadzabe are hunters and gatherers
