Safari summary
The safari starts and end in Arusha. This three days will take you to closer parks in the northern circuit. Start with Tarangire national park, a perfect place for spotting the largest and oldest elephants matriarchs over 400 herds. Hundreds of oldest baobab trees, migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the lagoons. The next day visit The Ngorongoro conservation area, a spans vast expanses of highland plains, savanna, savanna woodlands and forests established in 1959 as a multiple land-use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing, it includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest caldera that is 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area and a home to lions, elephant, wildebeest, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, hyena, jackals, ostrich, baboon, and many other animals. The third day visit the rift valley escapements where lies the lake Manyara National park where is a perfect place for introduction on Tanzania's birdlife . More than 400 species have been observed, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and stork. Lake Manyara offers a unique Treetop Walkway experience that is first and only in Tanzania and considered the largest in Africa. From the treetop walkway variety of birds species, monkeys and baboons can be spotted. Later this day will drive to Arusha for drop off.
