Drive to Volcanoes National Park

Volcanoes

You will be picked-up in the morning from hotel in Kigali for the drive to Volcanoes National Park with an en-route visit to Gisozi Genocide Memorial, where you’ll gain insights into Rwanda’s tragic past. Afterwards, you’ll continue with your drive to Volcanoes National Park; enjoying the beautiful views of the countryside. In the evening, visit the Iby’wacu Cultural Village and later retire at your lodge for Dinner and stay at ; Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Gorilla Trek and Return to Kigali

After breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking guidelines and safety. With your trekking gear, you’ll embark on the gorilla trekking expedition. This trek can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' movements. Once you find them, enjoy an hour observing their behavior & taking photos. Later, return to your lodge for lunch and set off for Kigali for drop-off at Kigali International Airport or hotel. Meals: Breakfast & lunch
