Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town; you will meet your guide who will brief you on your upcoming trek and do an equipment check to make sure you have all the necessary mountain gear. The missing gear can be rented on this day. ● Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included

Day 2:Machame Gate To Machame Camp

After an early breakfast, drive to the Machame Gate where you'll complete park formalities before beginning the trek. The trail winds through lush rainforest, with opportunities to spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife. After approximately 5-7 hours of hiking, you'll reach Machame Camp, your first overnight stop.

Day 3: Machame Camp To Shira Camp

Today's hike takes you out of the rainforest and into the heather and moorland zone. The trail ascends steadily, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. You'll pass through the 'Garden of Senecios,' a unique area dotted with giant groundsel plants. After approximately 4-6 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Shira Camp, where you'll spend the night.

Day 4: Shira Cave To Barranco Camp

Today's hike begins with a gradual ascent towards the Shira Plateau, a vast expanse of high-altitude desert. You'll pass through the Shira Cathedral, a striking rock formation, before reaching Shira Cave for a short break. From there, the trail descends into the Barranco Valley, where you'll tackle the Barranco Wall, a challenging but exhilarating climb. After conquering the wall, you'll arrive at Barranco Camp, nestled in a valley beneath towering cliffs.

Day 5: Barranco Camp To Barafu Camp

Today's hike is relatively short but steep as you ascend towards Barafu Camp, your final camp before the summit push. The trail traverses rocky terrain, with stunning views of the glaciers on the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro. Upon reaching Barafu Camp, you'll rest and prepare for the summit attempt tonight. Take advantage of the afternoon to hydrate, eat a hearty meal, and get plenty of rest.

Day 6: Barafu Camp To Uhuru Peak

The summit day begins, typically around midnight. You'll start the ascent by headlamp, following a steep and rocky trail towards Stella Point, located on the crater rim. From there, it's a final push to Uhuru Peak, As you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding glaciers and the vast African plains below. Take a moment to savor the accomplishment before beginning the descent back to Millennium Camp, where you'll spend your final night on the mountain.

Day 7:Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

Today's hike marks the final descent from the mountain. You'll descend through the rainforest, retracing your steps along the Mweka Route. Take your time on the descent, as the trail can be steep and slippery in places. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including monkeys and birds. Upon reaching Mweka Gate, you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guide and porters. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and celebrate.

Day 8: Depart Tanzania

After breakfast, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the local area before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the memories you've made as you say goodbye to Tanzania and begin your journey home.
