Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive In Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha, depending on your preference. Moshi is closer to the Kilimanjaro National Park, while Arusha is a larger city with more amenities. You'll have a chance to rest and meet with your guide for a pre-climb briefing. Your guide will go over the details of the trek, including the route, safety precautions, and equipment check.

Day 2: Lemosho Gate to Big Tree

After an early breakfast, you'll be driven to the Londorossi Gate, where you'll complete park formalities. From there, you'll continue by vehicle to the Lemosho Gate, the starting point of your trek. The hike begins through the lush rainforest of the Lemosho Glades, where you might spot various species of birds and small mammals. After approximately 4-5 hours of hiking, you'll reach Big Tree Camp, your first campsite. Here, you'll enjoy dinner and spend your first night under the stars.

Day 3:Big Tree Camp to Shira1Camp

Today's hike takes you out of the rainforest and into the heather and moorland zone. The trail gradually ascends, offering occasional glimpses of Mount Kilimanjaro through the trees. As you climb higher, the vegetation becomes sparser, and the landscape opens up. You'll pass the Shira Cathedral, a distinctive rock formation, before reaching Shira 1 Camp. Here, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau.

Tonight, you'll camp at Barranco Camp, surrounded by towering cliffs and rugged terrain.

Today's hike begins with an ascent of the Barranco Wall, a challenging but rewarding climb that requires some scrambling. Once you reach the top, you'll traverse the Karanga Valley towards Karanga Camp. This shorter day allows for acclimatization, as you'll gain elevation gradually. Take advantage of the extra time to rest and hydrate, preparing your body for the summit push tomorrow. Karanga Camp offers stunning views of the glaciers on the southern slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Today marks the final push towards the summit, as you ascend to Barafu Camp, the highest campsite on the mountain. The terrain becomes rocky and steep, requiring concentration and perseverance. Take regular breaks to catch your breath and admire the breathtaking scenery. As you climb higher, the air becomes thinner, and you may start to feel the effects of altitude more acutely. Arriving at Barafu Camp, you'll rest and refuel before the summit attempt tonight.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to UHURU PEAK

After a short rest, you'll continue down to Millennium Camp, where you'll spend your final night on the mountain.

Day 9:Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

Today's hike marks the final descent from the mountain. Take your time on the descent, as the trail can be steep and slippery in places. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including monkeys and birds, as you make your way down. Upon reaching Mweka Gate, you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guide and porters. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha, where you can relax and celebrate your achievement

Day 10: Depart Tanzania

After breakfast, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the local area before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the memories you've made as you say goodbye to Tanzania and begin your journey home.
