Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by a tour representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Kigali for check-in and briefing about the tour. Transfer to Volcanos National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, and you will pass through scenic landscapes of rolling hills and lush countryside. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon community walk or a visit to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

After breakfast, you will be briefed by park rangers before setting off into the forest to track the gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 1-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will have an hour to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. You will then return to your lodge for lunch and have a relaxing afternoon or opt for another activity such as golden monkey tracking or birdwatching.

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Kivu, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Africa. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, and you will pass through scenic landscapes of rolling hills and tea plantations. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat ride or a swim in the lake’s clear waters. You can also visit local fishing villages or explore nearby islands.
