Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Your safari begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda. You will be welcomed by a representative from our tour company and transferred to your hotel in Kigali for check-in and relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, you might have an option for a city tour, including visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and other points of interest.

Transfer to Volcanos National Park
Volcanoes
After breakfast, you will depart for Volcanoes National Park, located in the northwestern part of Rwanda. The park is famous for its mountain gorillas and is home to five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch before embarking on an afternoon community walk or a visit to the nearby Twin Lakes (Burera and Ruhondo).

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes

Wake up early and have breakfast at your lodge before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking etiquette. You will then be assigned to a gorilla family and start your trek through the dense forests accompanied by experienced rangers. Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing them and taking photographs before returning to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you can opt for a cultural experience or simply relax at your lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable
Bwindi Impenetrable
After breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, which is approximately a 4-hour drive from Volcanoes National Park. The park is home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and offers breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife. Proceed to Bwindi Forest national park for your overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Silverback Lodge where Gorillas sometimes spend an overnight with guests at a fireplace.

Game drive and boat cruise
Very early in the morning, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive following the Kasenyi track anticipating lions, leopards, antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, etc. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The wildlife along the river banks is overwhelming. This is the major highlight of this park. In the late afternoon, prepare for your departure as you will be transferred back to Kigali or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
