Murchison Falls is a waterfall on the Nile. At the top of Murchison Falls, the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks, only 7 meter wide, and tumbles 43 meter, then flows westward into Lake Albert. Murchison houses the famous African big four (lion, leopard, elephant, and Cape buffalo) and to complete the African BIG 5 game animals, you’ll stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to visit the last of the white rhinos.

Murchison with Rhino tracking

Murchison Falls

Pick you up from your hotel and drive to Murchison Falls N.P. Journey through the famous Luwero triangle which offers great sceneries that are picturesque with an en-route stop at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Tracking will take approximately 1-2 hours and have the chance to view at very close range. Later enjoy your lunch before proceeding. Drive to the top of the falls where the Nile perfects its beauty, forcing its self through a narrow gorge to fall producing a thunderous roar of white water.

An early morning rise to go for your game drive in search for predators and early risers on the Northern bank of the Nile. You may have a chance to see game like hyenas, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, elephants, primates and other different species of birds. Proceed to lodge for lunch, then proceed to a launch cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. The cruise will reward you with game along the banks. Dinner and overnight.
