Game Drive and Walking Safari

Arusha

We invite you to partake in a guided game drive, followed by an afternoon walking safari accompanied by armed rangers in the captivating Arusha National Park. While the game drive offers glimpses of fascinating wildlife and stunning views of Mt. Meru as your guide narrates, locals emphasize that the most immersive way to encounter the beauty of Arusha National Park is through one of our guided walks.

Tarangire Sopa Lodge

Guided Game Drive

Tarangire

Today you'll be going on a guided game drive to look for Tarangire's lions, elephants, cheetahs, and more. We think you’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park, as visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky that make this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape.

Ngorongoro Crater

Explore beautiful Ngorongoro Crater with an expert guide on your guided game drive this morning. The first time you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. It is one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas as well as critically endangered black rhinos, and also find elephants with larger than-average tusks and more than 50 lions in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will likely live longest in your memory.

Masai Village Museum Detouring

Ngorongoro Crater

This morning, on a guided game drive, you’ll discover that there’s more to the Ngorongoro Conservation Highlands than the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA), which consists of large expanses of savannah, rain forest, and bush land, provides wildlife protection status in their natural habitats and also permits human habitation at a time. The uniqueness makes NCA the only known area in Africa where man, livestock, and wild animals all live together in peace.

You'll almost certainly see rhinos (both black and white), lions (including rare tree-climbing lions), and endangered Rothschild's giraffes (which have very pale markings below their knees). Watch also for flamingos, leopards, and plenty of birds, all set against a beautiful backdrop of acacia forest, lake, and escarpment.

Rhinos are a big part of the experience when you visit Ol Pejeta. Apart from protecting some of Kenya's largest populations of black and white rhinos, Ol Pejeta shelters the world's last two northern white rhinos, and there's also a sanctuary for rescued chimps. Commonly sighted mammals include the lion, cheetah, hyena, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, and zebra. More than 500 different bird species have been seen in the conservancy, and the savannah and mountain views are lovely.
