Safari summary

7 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho route tour.
Where do the Mount Kilimanjaro Climbs Begin?
The Tanzanian towns of Moshi and Arusha are the main starting points for any Kilimanjaro climb Adventure. Bustling with activity, most tour operators have their base in one of these towns, and there are plenty of good accommodation options, restaurants, shops, and markets
This 7-day Kilimanjaro climbing tour via the Lemosho route is the best and most unique tour that starts from Moshi town to Lemosho Gate around 9:00am. The Lemosho route is lesser known. It begins on the western side of Kilimanjaro. Walking through the rainforest for the first two days the vegetation changes to heath and moorland with many ferns and ericas along the way. The narrow trail sometimes has some very steep sections and is scenically diverse. On the third day, the trail joins the Machame route. Hikers overnight in tents

The minimum duration for the Lemosho route is 6 days, however we strongly recommend hiking the route in 7 days. The additional 7th day will give your body more time to acclimatize, reducing the effects of altitude sickness and give you more time to rest before attempting the summit.

This 7-day Lemosho route tour starting from west, this one offers great acclimatization and a good climb high, sleep low profile. The 7 day Lemosho has a success rate of 85%.

Which route is better Marangu or Lemosho?
Lemosho Route offers a wonderful scenic view of mountains, valleys, and forests of Mt Kilimanjaro whereas; Marangu Route is famous as the oldest route with hut accommodations. I

What is the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro?
Lemosho is considered the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. It is our favorite route because it offers a great balance of low traffic, scenic views and a high summit success rate. Thus, Lemosho comes highly recommended. Most of our clients use Lemosho.

What is the difference between Kilimanjaro Machame and Lemosho Route?
Their main differences are amount of traffic, cost and number of trekking days. Being a more popular and cheaper option among the two, Machame route presents larger crowds compared to Lemosho which is a more remote, quieter track.
