Arusha | Karatu

The safari adventure begins with a departure from Arusha at 1200hrs, followed by lunchtime arrival at Karatu. The rest of the afternoon is spent at leisure - just relax and enjoy a slice of life only to be found in rural Tanzania. Located about a thirty-minute drive from the gate of Lake Manyara National Park, approximately four kilometers off the main road to the entry of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the lodge is situated next to the Ngorongoro Forest.

Full day at Ngorongoro Crater

Start your morning with breakfast before heading out for a safari in the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. Unmatched for its natural variety & breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size, and having a picnic lunch amidst such natural beauty is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Return to the lodge at sunset where you will have a chance to relax.

Karatu | Tarangire National Park

After breakfast proceed with packed lunch boxes to Tarangire National Park to arrive in time for a game-viewing drive in the park. Huge herds of elephants scratch the dry Tarangire river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, and gazelle, crowd the shrinking lagoons. It's the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx are found.

Tarangire National Park | Arusha

This morning we enjoy breakfast and then checked out. Sadly, our enjoyable time in the bush has come to an end. You said goodbye to the lodge manager and team, taking with you cherished photographs that capture the special moments from your tour. We bid farewell to our wonderful lodge manager and his team then depart to Arusha. Later, you will have lunch at a local restaurant in Arusha.
