Kibale National Park (formerly Kibale Forest NP) is the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda. Thirteen species of primates have been recorded, which is the highest number for any Ugandan park, and several monkey species can usually be seen on forest walks. Birds and butterflies are abundant.
Bwindi Impenetrable NP is a Unesco World Heritage Site and it is the best place in Uganda to track mountain gorillas. The park protects around 40% of the world’s mountain gorilla population and has several habituated groups. The forest is also a bird-watcher's paradise with 350 species recorded, including many Albertine Rift endemics.

Itinerary
Transfer to Kibale Forest
After an early breakfast, you will depart Kampala/ Entebbe proceeding to Kibale Forest NP. After a short briefing by one of the park staff, you will be allocated a guide who will lead you into the forest to find the chimpanzees. This park is the only place in East Africa where one can have the best primate tracking viewing the chimpanzee- man’s closest relative. After this, you will get back to your lodge to catch the sunset. Lunch & dinner (Breakfast not included)

Drive to Bwindi N.P
Bwindi Impenetrable
Today you will have your breakfast early enough and then set off to Bwindi Forest National Park. You may choose to Drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park or make a loop skipping the route through this park. There will be an option for you to either relax at your lodge in the afternoon or take a guided walk around the village close to the park. Bwindi Impenetrable NP is the best place in Uganda to track mountain gorillas.

You will join other visitors for a briefing by one of the park staff and thereafter you will meet with the lead guide who will take you into the forest to find the gorilla family that you will be allocated to. This may take between 2-7 hours round trip depending on how long the family you are trekking will have moved today from where it was last seen yesterday. After the trek, you will then proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will spend the evening at leisure as well as the overnight stay.

Depart Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe
After breakfast, your driver-guide will make sure you get to the airstrip near Bwindi on time to be able to catch the flight to Entebbe International Airport. Here depending on your departure flight back home, you may wait at the airport or check in at a hotel in Entebbe for a day room as you wait for your flight. This will then mark the end of your 4 Days Uganda Gorilla & Chimpanzee Trekking Primate Tour. Breakfast & lunch (Dinner not included)
