Itinerary
Day 1
DAY 1: Arrival Nairobi Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be picked up and welcomed by our representative and transferred to your town hotel. If you would like to change money, we recommend doing so while still at the airport, before getting to the visa/passport control. It is best to pay your visa in cash USD. Dinner at a restaurant of your choice. Overnight at the Fairview Hotel. (BB) Start your morning with a delicious breakfast at your hotel. Your driver will be available to you all day for all excursions planned in and around Nairobi. Visit the David Sheldrick Orphanage and learn all about raising orphaned baby elephants. Meet the endangered Rothsschild giraffes close up and personal at the Giraffe Center where you have the opportunity to hand feed them. You may enjoy lunch in a nearby restaurant in the Karen area. (our recommendation “Makutano Grill” with opportunities of souvenir shopping) In between you could visit the Kazuri bead factory for hand made necklaces and pottery. Return to your hotel at your convenience after a fun filled day and first impression of African wildlife. Dinner at own arrangement. Overnight at The Fairview Hotel. (BB)
