Itinerary
Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by an Africa Natural Tours representative and you will be transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is spend at leisure. Rest in your room, enjoy a swim in the pool or explore Arusha and the surrounding areas on one of our day tours, the choice is yours.
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, embark on a 2-hour, 110km drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast herds of elephants and diverse wildlife. The park's stunning Silale Swamp, a reliable water source, attracts a wealth of wildlife, making it a fantastic destination for birdwatching and game viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, selected by your driver guide, and continue the game drive until the park's closure at 6:00 pm. Head to the Kizumba Campsite's for dinner in the evening.

After breakfast, embark on a 3 to 4-hour drive to the vast Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional visit to a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro Highlands to learn about their culture. The Serengeti, equivalent to the size of Switzerland, offers diverse experiences. Most safaris cover the central Seronera area and one other region, such as the north for Mara crossings, the west for migration herds, or Ndutu during the "bridge" season.

Before sunrise at around 6:00 am, you'll leave the lodge for early morning game drives. This is generally the best time to spot the wildlife, as the temperature is cool and the animals are still very active, including the big cats, which will be returning from a night of hunting. You will then drive back to the lodge for a leisure breakfast followed by a pure relaxation break. You will then go for another game drive and sunset viewing over the Serengeti and then drive back to to the campsites.

Today you will drive to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. This Crater is the world’s largest intact collapsed caldera (volcano) which is a self-contained ecosystem with its own unique population of wildlife in a confined area of amazing variety. The crater boasts lots of lions, hyenas, fantastic birdlife, servals, Cape buffalo, zebras and gorgeous landscapes. Also there is an added advantage of seeing rhino’s, if you are lucky.

Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara National Park is the oldest and most popular sanctuary in East Africa. The main habitats include the shallow soda lake itself which occupies 70% of the park's total area of 320sq km, the ground water forest, open grassland, acacia woodland and the Rift Valley wall. The most famous spectacle in the park is the tree-climbing lions, which are occasionally seen along branches of acacia trees. Other animals found in the park include buffalo, elephants, leopards, ostriches and hippos.

After breakfast, join your guide for a village tour. You will cycle through Mto wa Mbu Village where you will experience local life and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant town. You'll then ride to a Mama’s house where you will feast on a traditional Tanzanian meal. (Optional at extra cost). Today is your final safari day. You will enjoy the day at the lodge and then drive to Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
