Entebbe
Upon arrival at Kigali International airport you will be met by our representative that will assist you through customs and immigration. set off for a short drive to Sentema, a peaceful countryside retreat about an hour away. After settling in at your lodge, you may simply relax and recover from your journey while enjoying the sounds of the garden and the warm hospitality of your hosts with a garden tour.

Murchison Falls
After breakfast, set out northwards on a 7-hour drive (approx. 350 km) to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. En route, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. Here, you will go on a guided rhino tracking walk (1.5–2 hours). It’s a unique opportunity to observe rhino on foot. Continue to Fort Murchison Lodge, arriving in the afternoon. and enjoy a game drive.

Budongo Forest
This morning, you venture into Budongo Forest Reserve for chimpanzee tracking. In the afternoon, you embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the falls. See hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a kaleidoscope of birdlife. As the boat approaches the narrow gorge of Murchison Falls, you will feel the thunder and spray of the world’s most powerful waterfall, where the entire Nile squeezes through a 7-meter cleft before plunging into the river below. Chimpanzee Tracking: 2–4 hours.

Kibale Forest
After breakfast, visit the famous “Top of the Falls” viewpoint before leaving the park. You then embark on a long but scenic drive south to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through farmlands, traditional villages, and landscapes dotted with tea plantations. On arrival, settle into your lodge in the forested surroundings. The rest of the evening is free to relax. Driving distance: approx. 350 km Driving time: approx. 7 hours

Today offers a rare and immersive opportunity: a chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale Forest. Instead of the usual one-hour visit, you will spend 4 hours in the company of rangers and researchers as they follow a chimpanzee community through their daily routine. Kibale is the “Primate Capital of the World,” is also home to 12 other primate species, including red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Habituation Experience: approx. 6-7 hours, 4h with the chimps

Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive southwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, you trade the vehicle for a boat as you embark on a cruise along the 40 km-long Kazinga Channel between Lake Edward and Lake George a great game viewing experience. Afterwards, continue with an evening game drive across the Kasenyi savannah plains, famous for large herds of Uganda kob and the lions that prey on them. Driving distance: approx. 130 km Driving time: approx. 3 hours

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
This morning takes you into the dramatic Kyambura Gorge, a lush, forested chasm sometimes called the “Valley of Apes.” Here, a small community of chimpanzees lives in the tangled canopy. Afterwards, your journey continues towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse forests in Africa. The drive takes about seven hours, Chimpanzee Tracking: 2–4 hours, Driving distance to Bwindi: approx. 280 km Driving time: 6–7 hours

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today, encounter the mountain gorillas of Bwindi. After a morning briefing, you set off with experienced rangers into the heart of the rainforest. The trek can last anywhere from two to eight hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family, and the terrain is often steep, muddy, and thick with vegetation. For up to an hour, you will watch as they go about their daily lives. Gorilla tracking duration: 2–8 hours. Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous – steep, slippery, and humid conditions.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
This morning, you set off to explore Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, the smallest but one of the most scenic parks in Uganda, for another unforgettable wildlife encounter: gorilla tracking in the Virunga Volcanoes. Due to its more open vegetation and wonderful Gorilla family, a trek at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, this gorilla encounter is often referred to once-in-a-lifetime experience. Return to Kisoro and relax at the lodge. Driving time: 30-45 minutes each way Gorilla Tracking: 3–6 hours

Lake Bunyonyi
This morning, return to Mgahinga for golden monkey tracking. Your trek to see these endangered monkeys takes you into the bamboo zone, where they live in lively troops. The trek usually lasts three to four hours and is less strenuous than gorilla tracking, but still offers an immersive forest experience. After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes, dotted with 29 islands. Golden monkey trek duration: 3–4 hours Driving time to Lake Bunyonyi: approx. 2–3 hours

After breakfast, begin the long but scenic return journey to Entebbe (approx. 8-9 hours / 400 km). En route, stop at the Uganda Equator Line, where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere and take photos at the famous landmark. In the evening, you will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. Driving distance: approx. 400 km Driving time: approx. 8-9 hours
