Day 1: Mandara Hut (2720m)

Embark on an 8km journey, lasting 3-4 hours, from the Marangu Gate (1879m) to Mandara Hut (2720m), with a lunch break included. Traverse the rainforest after gate formalities, providing a chance to spot Blue Monkeys and Black and White Colobus. If time permits upon reaching the camp, consider a 15-minute excursion to Maundi Crater, a volcanic crater that didn't erupt but collapsed due to lacking magma pressure. Enjoy panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks, the eastern part of the mountain.

The slow ascent from Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5895m), takes about 45 minutes. Spend a brief 10 minutes at Uhuru Peak for views before descending to Kibo Camp.

Sign out at the gate and receive a certificate for your successful climb to Gilman's, Stella, and Uhuru Peaks. A 45-minute drive takes you from the gate to your Moshi hotel.
