Itinerary

Day 1 Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Park

Mikumi

You'll depart at 5:30 am from Dar es Salaam via Morogoro and Chalinze with a picnic lunch pack. Continue with the drive to Mikumi and after 5 or 6 hours, you will come across several animals that may include lions, elands, hartebeest, buffalos, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, elephants, wild dogs and many species of birds. Due to its savannah plain, animals in Mikumi are easily accessed and it takes only 4 to 5 hours to finish a game.

Mikumi Then Drive to Nyerere Park

Nyerere (Selous)

After breakfast and cultural visit of the Maasai village at around 9:00 am, we will drive to Nyerere National Park taking about 7 to 8 hours. You will have a picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take us through the most unexplored and untouched areas to amaze you.

The day will be spent on game viewing in the park and in the evening, you will experience a boat trip for 2 to 3 hours in the Rufiji River. The safari guide will point out the rarest species of animals, the wild dogs, which are hardly seen in other parks. Sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile crocodiles, hippos Cape buffalo, hartebeests and elands. Your picnic lunch and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner, also boat safari will be amazing for you

Walking Safari at Nyerere Park

Have an early morning breakfast at the camp and start a sunrise bush walk. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself. It’s an unforgettable experience to walk and tramp within such a vast and untamed area. The walks take about 2-3 hours long. Usually, the walks leave the camp at 6:00 am -6:30 am after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnut.
