Starting Point: Your trek begins at the Marangu Gate, which is the entry point for the Marangu Route. Hike to Mandara Hut: The trail starts in lush rainforests. It's a relatively gentle hike through beautiful scenery. After about 3-4 hours, you'll reach Mandara Hut (2,700 meters or 8,858 feet) for your first overnight stay.

Desert Zone: The terrain transitions to a barren desert-like environment. Hiking time is about 6-8 hours to reach Kibo Hut (4,703 meters or 15,430 feet), your last stop before the summit.
Summit Day
Summit Ascent: You'll start the summit attempt in the early hours, typically around midnight. This challenging ascent can take 6-7 hours, and you'll need to be well-prepared for cold temperatures and high altitude. Uhuru Peak: Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters or 19,341 feet), the highest point on Kilimanjaro, to witness a breathtaking sunrise and unparalleled views. Take in the achievement and capture the moment before starting the descent. Return to Horombo Hut:
