DAY 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Machame Gate (1,800 meters) on the south side of the mountain. From there, you'll begin your trek through the rainforest. The hike to Machame Camp (3,000 meters) typically takes around 5-7 hours, and you'll spend the night there.

DAY 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

On the second day of the climb, you'll ascend through the heather and moorland zones. You'll pass through a steep ridge called Picnic Rock and continue to Shira Camp (3,840 metres) for the night. This day's hike usually takes around 4-6 hours.

DAY 3: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
