Mountain Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania, is Africa's highest peak and one of the world's most iconic mountains. This free-standing volcanic mountain rises dramatically from the plains, and its snow-capped summit, Uhuru Peak, stands at an impressive 19,341 feet (5,895 meters) above sea level.
The Lemosho Route
The Lemosho route stands out as the most enchanting pathway to conquer Kilimanjaro, treating adventurers to breathtaking vistas from various angles of the majestic mountain. This relatively newer route is the top choice for your 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing Ascent, and it's our favored option due to its winning combination of fewer crowds, awe-inspiring landscapes, and a remarkable summit success rate. When it comes to guiding treks on the Lemosho route, OWL EYES EXPEDITION is the expert you need. The overwhelming majority of our clients opt for this route when scaling Kilimanjaro, and their consistent feedback is nothing short of adoration. Thus, we highly recommend the Lemosho route.
Our 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour via Lemosho Route starting from the western side, the route introduces you to Kilimanjaro with a scenic drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. The initial two days are a journey through the lush rainforest, leading you to the Shira Ridge. As you advance, the Lemosho Route offers a delightful, mostly level traverse of the Shira Plateau, crossing it from the west to the east. You will find solace in the fact that crowds are relatively scarce until you merge with the Machame route near Lava Tower. The trail then takes you beneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field, following a path known as the Southern Circuit, culminating in your summit bid from Barafu. The descent follows the Mweka route.
With OWL EYES EXPEDITION, you have the option to experience the Lemosho route as an eight-day group expedition or as a private journey lasting seven to eight days. The seven-day variation combines days five and six, bypassing an overnight at Karanga Camp when heading from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp. For those seeking an extended adventure, a nine-day variation, inclusive of a night at Crater Camp, is available through a special request for private climbs.
Explore the Lemosho route with us and make your Kilimanjaro dream a remarkable reality.
