Day 1: Arusha to Miriakamba Hut
Arusha
In Arusha (1400m), post breakfast, we pick you up and head to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. Porters pack, you register with TANAPA, then ascend. Day one feels like a walking safari; spot giraffes, zebras, antelope, buffalo, maybe elephants. An armed ranger is mandatory due to wildlife. Pass the Ngarenanyuki River and a waterfall at Mt. Meru's base. Reach Miriakamba Hut (2500m), savor a hot dinner, watch the sunset, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
Arusha
After breakfast, you will start ascending up the steep trail along the ridge of the saddle. You may see various wildlife along the way! The trail has views of Mt. Meru Crater and the Ash Tray. When you arrive at camp, you have the option of hiking Little Mt. Meru (3820 m) with your guide to further acclimate. You will be served an early dinner, so you can receive ample rest before your midnight summit attempt. Get to sleep by 19h00!
Saddle Hut
Day 3: Summit Day and Descend Back.
Arusha
Your summit day begins early with tea at 00:30 A.M. You'll ascend from Rhino Point (3800m) to Cobra Point (4350m), with the last hour involving a rocky ridge scramble. Watch the sunrise from Mount Meru's summit (4565m), offering stunning vistas of Mt. Meru Ash Tray and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Afterward, descend to Saddle Hut for a brief stop. Then, continue your descent to Momella Gate, where your transfer vehicle awaits to take you back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
